Goals

Have you ever wanted to do something totally out of character to prove to yourself that you can? Maybe you want to see what you’re made of. Whatever the reason may be, I am a firm believer in setting goals.

On Instagram I have seen several girls gain muscle and change their bodies. The person who has inspired me the most is @aurora_lz_fit (she changed her name from what you see in this picture). In 2005 she was sick suffering from 2 very bad eating disorders: anorexia and bulimia.
Mind you, I am not sick, but I do struggle with how I feel when I eat. Certain foods just don't agree with me (be on the look out for a deeper explanation). I understand what it is like to be unhappy, weak, lost, and insecure. She motivates me to step out of my shell and try something new. I am absolutely amazed with how she has changed her body and I think she looks fabulous! Seeing her results truly makes me believe that if she could heal herself and make these changes, I too can do the same.

The other day my gym sent out an email about bodybuilding competitions. It was fate! Today I met with the trainer at my gym who coaches girls to compete and I can officially say I am going to participate in a NPC bikini contest. I am super excited for this new challenge and the fact that it will keep me eating clean.  On the other hand, I am a little nervous about the amount of calories and protein I will need to consume on a daily basis. I feel like gaining muscle is going to be my biggest challenge, besides meal prep.
I am looking forward to seeing how my body changes.
