Detox Juice:
kale, celery, cucumber, lemon, ginger, mint & spirulina

This juice is my absolute favorite at this moment, especially because it wasn't super cold.
My body is having a hard time absorbing nutrients and cold foods make my stomach freeze up.

I tried having a salad this past week and it sat like a rock in my stomach.
Not moving anywhere.
Message received loud and clear.

Right now I am re-learning how foods affect my body.
It is quite fun.
I am my own experiment.

Back to juice.
Have you ever seen the movie 'Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead'?
It clearly demonstrates the benefits of juicing.

When it comes to juicing there are some things to think about.
Drink juice fresh.
Use high quality/organic produce.
Try to keep a 3:1 ratio; 3 veggies to 1 piece of fruit.
Homemade is best.

There are 3 types of juicers:
1. Centrifugal - usually cheapest and easiest to clean; the fast processing oxidizes nutrients faster
2. Masticating - operate at slower speeds and extract more juice
3. Twin-gear - most powerful; juices stay fresh up to 72 hours once refrigerated
The more expensive the juicer the better the juice that is produced.

Juicing can enhance your diet and provide your body with nutrients.
Juice generally contains little protein, fat, and fiber, so I would suggest to consume in conjunction with other foods on a weekly basis.
You can also do a quick juice cleanse to give your digestive system a healthy rest.

The benefits of juicing are numerous, starting with a strengthened immune system.

Give it a try and leave a comment about what juices/recipes you like best.
